Mercies in Disguise

If there's one thing I've learned in life so far it's that blessings can surprise you...they can manifest in ways you never expect, and sometimes never wanted, but there they are all the same.
My dad sent me a link to the most beautiful song today called "Blessings" by Laura Story, (I recommend checking it out) as it truly touched my heart. It reminded me that the struggles and pain we've lived through, and the trials we've yet to face, may in fact be mercies in disguise.
"What if your blessings come through raindrops, what if your healing comes with tears? What if a 1000 sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near. What if my greatest disappoints, or the aching of this life, is a revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy. And what if trials of this life, the rains and storms, the hardest nights, are Your mercies in disguise."

  1. You're a beautiful writer Andrea. I wrote a song on my latest album called "ache for you" that is about the deep longings that we have here on earth, the longings that seem to only be quenched by God himself. thanks for sharing our heart.
